A Fairytale Wedding and a Garden Party

When Rebecca and Mikey tied the knot, they didn't just say "I do". They said "Let's do this our way" and then proceeded to make the day theirs.

The ditched the church for a tree-lined driveway on Mikey's parent's property on the outskirts of town, and declared their love for each other on a handmade wooden altar that a very talented family member had whipped up for the occasion.

The scene was like something out of a fairytale - minus the fairy godmother and glass slippers - and their guest list was made up of the best kind of family: chosen family.

Rebecca's brother Damien walking his little sister down the aisle would have been the main attraction had it not been for the couple's puppy, Ziggy, who most definitely stole the show first.

Mikey admitted that he was a little nervous saying his vows in front of all his guests, but he ended up nailing them and I suspect there were a few reaching for the tissues.

We traded the dappled aisle for a sunset at Thunder Point. STanding on the edge of the world with nothing but their future in front of them, Mikey perfected a bridal dip which was quite breathtaking and will make for an amazing print in their home one day.

Back at the family property, the elves had woven their magic and turned the shed into a beautiful rustic reception location. The stars twinkled bright on a perfect Spring evening as Rebecca and Mikey celebrated as newlyweds with their closest family and friends.

Rebecca and Mikey's day was the kind that makes you believe in happily ever after. It was a whirlwind of love, laughter and the creation of new traditions.
